Spencer is a financial planner with 40 years of experience in the financial services profession and has advised a diverse range of clients since 1989.

Throughout his career, he has held a variety of roles within the profession, including advising doctors and dentists within a specialist business, managing a team of advisers within a national IFA firm, working within a regional legal practice, and leading the financial services arm of a regional accountancy practice. This breadth of experience enables Spencer to provide clients with a measured and comprehensive approach to financial planning, including retirement and investment planning, tax mitigation, Inheritance Tax strategies, and financial protection.

He enjoys helping clients understand their financial options and building plans that support their long-term goals, while working closely with clients and their professional advisers to provide reassurance and confidence about the future.

Outside of work, Spencer enjoys spending time with his family, exploring Yorkshire’s countryside and coastline, travelling, and discovering local wines and fine dining experiences.

What do you think best describes the types of clients you advise?

I advise a diverse range of clients, including business owners, family groups, trusts, and individuals, all with different priorities and objectives. I particularly enjoy helping clients understand their options and creating plans that support their long-term future.

What about your job is rewarding?

I gain great satisfaction from helping clients feel confident about their financial future and supporting them in making informed decisions. Building long-term relationships and working collaboratively with clients and their professional advisers is a particularly rewarding part of my role.

What do you enjoy doing during your annual leave?

My wife and I enjoy travelling and exploring new places together, making sure to sample local wines and enjoy fine dining along the way. I also love spending time in Yorkshire, particularly visiting the national parks and stunning coastline.
