Get to know Mark
Mark is a financial planner and has worked in the financial advice profession since 1991. He has been with Argentis since its early days in 2002.
He provides a broad range of bespoke financial advice, working closely with clients to develop financial plans tailored to their short-, medium-, and long-term objectives. He believes that direct, friendly, and strong client relationships are key to delivering a high level of service and supporting clients in navigating an often-complex financial landscape.
Away from work, Mark has a busy family life with his wife and rock, Jarka, and their three fantastic children. He enjoys daily walks with Willow, his daft Cocker Spaniel, and even now still manages to referee the occasional football match when his knees allow!
In the spotlight
What do you think best describes the types of clients you advise?
I predominantly work with medium to high‑net‑worth individuals who take an active interest in their financial wellbeing. They value long‑term planning, tax efficiency, and clear, proactive guidance to help them protect and grow their wealth for their future benefit.
What do you enjoy in your job?
I enjoy helping my clients achieve financial peace of mind and seeing the positive impact that well‑structured planning can have on their lives. Building long‑standing relationships and guiding clients through key milestones is especially rewarding.
What do you enjoy doing during your annual leave?
My wife and I love travelling and camping, heading off in my old Land Rover with the roof tent and Spaniel! My family and I also make fairly regular trips to Slovakia, where my wife is from, and we enjoy exploring the country together. Our adventures involve extensive road trips, and discovering new places in Slovakia and the surrounding countries, often off the beaten track.
