In the spotlight
How did you become a financial planner?
I took an entry-level role at a financial advice firm in 2006 and learned about the profession from the ground up. Throughout this time, I gained qualifications and experience across data entry, administration, paraplanning, and eventually progressed into financial planning.
What about your job is rewarding?
Meeting people is the most rewarding part of my job, as I am very much a people person and enjoy building relationships. I also enjoy solving problems and helping clients achieve their objectives, enabling them to enjoy the fruits of their long-term investment planning.
What do you like doing in the evenings/on the weekends?
I am very much a family man, so I enjoy spending time with my wife Jamie and my two children, Liliana and Lucas. In the evenings, I enjoy unwinding after a full day and sharing a meal with my wife. On weekends, we focus on family activities and, where possible, eating out together. If I can sneak away, I also enjoy going to watch West Ham live or on TV.
