Get to know Guy
Guy works as a financial planner and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning. In practice, he collaborates with a wide range of clients, including private individuals, companies, trusts, and those acting under Powers of Attorney, from various backgrounds, vocations, and professions, as well as many retirees.
His role is to assist and guide people through the possibilities and pitfalls of financial planning, and to help them make the most of their financial resources in pursuit of their short, medium, or long-term objectives.
A key aspect of his work is helping clients gain a better understanding of their financial planning, enabling them to feel more comfortable and confident in their decision-making. Each client is unique, so he tailors his approach to meet their specific needs.
Away from work, Guy is married with three adult children. He is a keen observer of sport, although any participation is now at the more sedate end of the spectrum.
The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate advice on trusts.
In the spotlight
How did you become a financial planner?
Before I became a financial planner, I was a broker consultant for a leading UK pension company.
What ‘financial freedom’ means to me:
To be able to enjoy the lifestyle you desire, without anxiety about money.
How do you feel you add value for your clients?
By helping them understand their finances and providing clarity on what they are doing and why. This helps them feel much more comfortable and reassured in an area where many feel quite unsure.
