Get to know Shane
Shane is a financial planner and has worked at Argentis since 2013. Prior to joining the Argentis Group, he worked for Prudential for 23 years before moving to a small IFA firm in Lancing, West Sussex, where he spent a further 15 years. He holds a Level 4 qualification in Financial Planning and additional qualifications allowing him to advise on mortgages and later life lending.
He offers advice and support across a wide range of financial areas, primarily to individual clients and their families. This includes investment and retirement planning, later life lending, and mortgage and protection advice, which is where he dedicates most of his time.
In his spare time, Shane enjoys many sports – in a largely sedentary manner – and has supported Brighton & Hove Albion and Sussex C.C. for most of his life. He also enjoys spending time with his partner, Bren, walking, taking holidays, and eating out.
In the spotlight
What do you enjoy in your job?
The best part of the job is sitting with clients either in their homes or via a video link and helping them find financial solutions that work for them.
The biggest misconception about financial planning is:
That it is complicated and only for the very rich.
The three small things that make my day better are:
Time with my partner at the end of the working day, making a good meal at home, seeing my football or cricket teams win.
