Get to know Ian
Ian has a wealth of financial services experience, having worked in the profession for over 40 years and been with Argentis for more than nine years. His qualifications include ACII, DipPFS, and MAQ.
He assists clients across all areas of financial planning, including protection, savings and investments, pensions, and estate planning. Ian dedicates most of his time to helping clients plan for retirement. He recognises that retirement planning can feel like navigating a maze, with clients often unsure of the right direction, when they can retire, and whether they will have enough to support their desired lifestyle. He works with clients to put clear plans in place, helping them understand their options and work towards a more confident and fulfilling retirement.
In his spare time, Ian enjoys golf, swimming, and working at his allotment, as well as walking his black Labrador, Nala.
The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate estate planning advice.
In the spotlight
What do you think best describes the types of clients you advise?
Those looking to achieve a good standard of living in retirement by growing their investment portfolio more quickly, or those trying to preserve and protect their portfolio for as long as possible.
The three small things that make my day better are:
A walk with my dog, seeing my beautiful wife smile, and the sun shining on a rainy day.
The most adventurous thing I have ever done is:
Climbing the three peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell, and Snowdon, in that order) in 24 hours for NSPCC charity.
