In the spotlight

What about your job is rewarding/what do you enjoy in your job?

I like the fact that my work is forward-looking, aspirational, and helps clients make their dreams and objectives a reality. I love meeting clients and building an understanding of their goals and objectives so that I can tailor advice to their circumstances. Maintaining an ongoing relationship and seeing clients meet their objectives is also very rewarding.

What do you think best describes the types of clients you advise?

I advise clients in various situations, but often it is clients looking towards retirement and making sure their pensions are in the right place and sufficient to enable them to retire at their desired age. My clients have a desire to prepare for their future and usually have a clear picture of when they want to retire. In retirement, my clients want to maintain a comfortable standard of living so they can enjoy their time after work, and this means having the funds in place to provide a good level of income.

What do you enjoy doing during your annual leave?

Annual leave is a chance to recharge, whether that’s the odd day here and there or a family holiday. I do enjoy a nice trip to the sun and getting away from the usual jobs around the house.
